Our courses have a limited number of places to allow participants to be followed effectively. Participation is also an excellent opportunity to try various professional tools in different scales and materials, as well as to receive advice on any future purchases.

In-person courses are offered in various cities, and are led by teachersFilippo Pigaiani and/orRaffaello Cavaggioni and/or other qualified musicians who collaborate with us.

BASIC COURSES 1st Level

🛸 "Have you always wanted to learn to play the Handpan?This basic course is the perfect opportunity to start your musical journey!"

🎶 The beauty of the Handpan lies in being a very versatile percussion instrument that combines rhythm, harmony and melody. You can play it as a musician, use it to express your emotions or just for pure pleasure and relaxation.
By following the techniques you will learn in this course,you will be able to play and have fun right away, even if you've never played an instrument. During the courseyou will be followed step by step and you will learn percussive touch, hand technique, scale and note understanding, group playing, as well as the rhythmic language for reading music, playing, and creating your own personal rhythms and first melodies.

Basic Course Dates

COURSES ADVANCED Residential Retreats

🚀 These 3-day Residential Retreats are open to those who have participated in at least one Level 1 course, in person or online.

They want to be an opportunityspend three days together immersed in nature, surrounded by enthusiasts like us, dedicating ourselves completely to music and to learning more about the handpan.

🎼We will explore various theoretical-practical aspects of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th levels,thus acquiring more advanced rhythmic skills which will allow you to express yourself in a more versatile and musical way, while you will have fun discovering your skills as a musician. We will also delve into different aspects ofmusical composition, whereas the Handpan is both a rhythmic and melodic instrument, each tuned to a specific scale of notes. We will learn to navigate between these notes to create melodies, chords, effects and develop the ability to compose our songs with simplicity.

🎊 There will also be convivial moments, lunches and dinners,ensemble music and play in company, wake-up yoga, sound baths and jam sessions. A profound musical experience with the Handpan and you at center stage.

💰 Retreat cost (Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday): 220 euros

60 euro registration deposit via bank transfer, and the rest upon collection!

Advanced Retreat Dates

IN-DEPTH MEETINGS and ensemble music

🔔 These Masterclass meetings in presence, lasting 3 or 6 hours, are open to those who have attended at least one of the 1st Level courses (in presence or online). These sessions offer a unique opportunity to share musical passion, explore musical rhythms and figures, experiment with composition and perfect your skills. The Masterclasses are conducted by us, Filippo and Raffaello, or by other renowned musicians and teachers who collaborate with our school. Each teacher contributes their experience and expertise, dealing with specific topics.

INTRODUCTORY COURSESto Know the Handpan

👋 These introductory handpan meetings offer an opportunity to do afirst approach with this tool and literally put it in your hands, allowing you to explore the first touches and rhythms without getting too deep into musical theory.

📌 Usually, we organize these2/3 hour meetings on the occasion of festivals, fairs or evening spot meetings, where we do not have the time necessary for a complete 1st Level course in 6 hours.
